This is a classic oriental sweetness, which is made from small pieces of fruit, boiled in sugar syrup. This method of cooking is good because sugar "preserves" the nutrients in pieces, while the average size does not allow them to boil soft and turn into ordinary jam.


In our latitudes, most often you can buy candied fruit - candied pineapple and pear, candied mango, kiwi, melon, apple, papaya and others. Usually they are used as a bright and fragrant filling for cakes, pies, muffins, desserts. And they are not even aware of the true potential of colorful eastern sweets.
